Join Joy Fairhall – Mind Body Joy – once a month for a beautiful meditation circle.

6.45 pm – 8.15 pm AEST

Monthly meditations will vary and will include ones you may not have tried for example:

  • chanting

  • open-eye meditation

  • sound baths

  • walking meditations

  • movement meditation

  • and more

The Meditation itself runs for 60 minutes with time to settle both before and meditation and for questions at the end of the meditation.

About Joy

Joy loves meditations and after initially finding meditation challenging, like most people, Joy sought to find meditations that were easy to do as well as giving her the best outcome. This led her to guided meditations.

Joys guided meditations are varied every month to give all her meditation circle participants the best chance to find a style that suits them. Having qualified in mindfulness, theory and practical, Joy is an experienced mindful meditation trainer as well as the more familiar relaxation meditations.

Joy loves creating deeply spiritual meditations that are enjoyable meditators of all experiences.

In addition, Joy varies meditations with the addition of Tibetan and Crystal quartz singing bowls.


What is Guided Meditation?

Guided Meditation

Many people that start meditating find it easier to start and continue to meditate with a guided meditation.

Guided meditation is a meditation in which an experienced meditation teacher guides you with their voice. The teacher guides you in every moment what you, the listener has to do in order to meditate. Many guided meditations also contain music in the background that helps introduce the mood of tranquillity and calmness for the meditation.

Some guided meditations have a specific purpose, for example, to relieve stress, or to perform a body scan, or to generate compassion to name a few. Others are just meant to observe your thoughts, how they appear and how they vanish, and how they try to take control of you. Others go deeper into balancing Chakras and even past life transitions

It’s important to note that meditation may be overwhelming at the beginning. Even if provided with instructions from a master teacher, or if you have practised a couple of times with teacher, the first times you do it on your own can be interesting, to say the least. Guided meditations are fantastic to reduce frustration by providing guidance and support during your first sessions on your own.

The final goal is, of course, that you achieve the ability to meditate without any guidance or external help (that includes music). However, most people like to continue with a guided meditation for the variety and tools such as quartz singing bowls etc that are used by experienced meditation teachers. It’s in your inner mind where the real battle exists, you and your thoughts. In the beginning meditating can be tough and boring, that’s why meditation teachers take yo9u on what seems to be baby steps towards your goal.

I have collected and written a list of guided meditations, with different durations and different purposes. The idea is that you progressively increase the meditation time while being guided, and, at the same time, practise meditations with different purposes.

I teach, write and guide many forms of meditations, including Mindfulness of Breathing and Loving-Kindness (Metta Bhavana) meditations that were originally taught by Buddha. These meditations develop calmness and emotional positivity.

Meditation can take time to learn or it may take one appointment everyone is different. The most important lesson is to stay in the room, notice your thoughts and come back to my voice if your mind starts to wander.

At Mind Body Joy guided meditations include walking, chakra, and using various tools such as music, chanting, Tibetan and Quartz Singing bowls, crystal and more.
